Alexandrine Parakeets – 2 Young Adult Hens ( Both of Breeding Age )
Both of the Hens are Aviary Birds & hence Not Hand Raised, and accordingly there are NO Imprint issues & therefore likewise NONE of the Breeding Problems that are associated with Hand Raised Birds.
Both are Young Adult Mature Birds, with the 1st being approximately 3yrs of age, and the 2nd being approximately 4-5yrs of age. The latter is Semi-tame & a Proven Breeder but is now available to a new home pursuant to the loss of her former mate.
Most breeders will no doubt be aware how difficult it is to purchase a Hen of any bird variety on its own & especially so from the Pet Shops & larger Bird Dealers etc., and even when such birds are rarely available they are either young birds that have been unsexed or alternatively young Hens that are still a couple of years or so away from breeding; hence this is therefore a very rare opportunity to Purchase a Hen or Hens on their own and likewise a Hen or Hens of Breeding Age. Needless to say, both of these Hens should breed this year if paired to a suitable Male.
That said, If you are hoping to breed birds this year, take the opportunity to purchase them now ( in order to ensure your birds are able to adjust into their new environment and or assimilate with their New Neighbours etc. etc. Prior to the Breeding Season commencing. Please don’t make the common mistake of waiting to the Breeding Season has begun in order to TRY to purchase your required birds, as you will likely either be sorely disappointed at finding that they are Not available; and or in the unlikely event that you are successful in acquiring same, you will probably find that they have not had sufficient time to become comfortable & relaxed enough in their new home in order to induce them to breed successfully ).
Very reluctant sale in both cases, but necessary in order to fund the purchase of new stock etc., and also currently surplus to breeding requirements.
